Beyond Brunch – Food in Chelsea for Any Time of Day

by | Feb 7, 2017

Chelsea is a foodie’s heaven, with great restaurants on almost every block. Though mostly well-known for its plentiful brunch spots, we thought we’d take a look at what other food Chelsea has to offer.

Los Tacos No. 1014.jpg

A no-brainer for authentic tacos, Los Tacos stands out by using simple but fresh ingredients. We love their spicy adobada taco on a corn tortilla, or you can forgo the traditional tortilla and try a queso shell instead.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza & Bar

Another staple in Chelsea, Artichoke Basille’s is the go-to place for pizza, especially their famed artichoke pizza. Spend $5 on a giant slice of this creamy, crispy goodness you won’t regret it!

Trailer Park Lounge

For those inevitable moments when you’re just craving some unhealthy, greasy food, Trailer Park Lounge is here to rescue. The unique, tacky décor makes for an eclectic, fun environment. Best of all, they offer $5 margaritas during happy hour, with flavors like frozen jalapeno and blood orange – the perfect sidekick to an order of tater tots.

CoppeliaCoppelia Chelsea

Coppelia isn’t your average Cuban diner. The establishment has a Michelin bib gourmand, which means it has to be good. We recommend the chicken sandwich or oxtail empanadas, but maybe one of the best parts of this restaurant is the hours Coppelia is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The Red CatThe Red Cat Chelsea

The Red Cat may be a small, cozy space, but it definitely shouldn’t be overlooked the food here is known to deliver powerful flavors that really pack a punch. Our favorites are the tempura green beans as a starter, and the skate or heritage pork as an entre. No matter what you order, the execution of dishes at the Red Cat is top-notch, you really can’t go wrong!
