Consider Eli Manning’s Cavalier King Charles spaniel the newest celebrity in town. Besides having People Magazine profile him in 2014, Mr. Chester LLC recently purchased an $8.5 million home in the Hamptons.
Located at 4 Dune Road in Quogue, 6-year-old Chester and the Manning family’s new 7,000 square foot mansion has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and sits on a 1.21-acre property. The home boasts a private entrance to the beach, a private deck, and an outdoor pool- where Chester is known to act as a lifeguard to Manning’s three children.
Though his New Jersey condo is closer to the MetLife Stadium, where the Giants quarterback often plays and practices, Manning has been trying to unload his property since May 2015. The 3,500 square foot apartment was on the market for $5.2 million. In April 2016, he put it up for rent for $18,000 a month.
Now that the Giants’ post-season has ended, Chester and the Mannings can look forward to their summer home. Located in Southampton, Quogue prides itself on standing apart from the Hamptons Scene’ and has often been described as sleepy and Un-Hampton in the most relaxing of ways.
Local attractions include the boutique hotel The Quogue Club at Hollack House and restaurants such as Station serve farm-to-table cuisine. The Quogue Gallery offers a dose of art, while Docker’s Waterside Marina is perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view . It should be a relaxing Summer 2017 indeed…for Chester, that is.
