Jon Stewart Unloads $17.5M Tribeca Home

by | Dec 5, 2014

Funnyman, political commentator, and director Jon Steward has sold two apartments in Tribeca equaling $17.5M in sales.

The sellers of units 9a and 8b of 161 Hudson Street are listed as the Stanley Monkey Trust, which is named after Stewart’s dogs. In 2005, Stewart (along with wife and first child) bought the Tribeca loft for $5.8M. The unit boasts 6,000 square feet, and 600 square foot terrace, and a 1,200 square foot private rooftop deck. The are also more than 40 windows in the combined unit which gives complete exposure on three sides.

At an $11.7M profit, we would say that Stewart and family made the right choice to move forward without their Tribeca home.
