Does the post-grad life have you feeling stressed about the job hunt? Maybe you just want to get together with some friends and catch up? Either way, it’s nice to be able to relax during the happiest hour and kick a few back with some friends. Now that spring has officially sprung, check out some of our recommendations for NYC’s best happy hour bars, including several outdoor patios and rooftop lounges.
Happy hour and karaoke go together like peanut butter and jelly. If you agree, you should check out Iggy’s. Iggy’s offers 2 for 1 drinks from 6-8pm, and if that’s not enough, it even offers free karaoke for your first hour, on occasion.
If you and your friends want to sing Cher classics and “Tiny Dancer” into the early hours of the morning, worry not! Iggy’s stays open until 4 AM! The bar is located in the Upper East Side, and the easiest way to get there is to take the Q and 6 trains.
Boilermaker offers various cocktails, beers, wines, and shots. Come and enjoy its 3-hour long happy hour menu. There are 12 different cocktails available for only $8 each and glasses of wine that costs $7! Stay late and order a round of midnight pancakes, or you can even order burgers, sandwiches, and desserts if you’d like.
Located atop the Pod Hotel on East 39th Street, Pod 39 is one of the top-rated rooftop bars in NYC, offering incredible views of the city skyline. While the cocktails are delicious, people will fall in love with the sleek design and beautiful views of the Empire State Building. As the weather begins to warm up, stop by Pod 39 and grab some of their signature cocktails, and even a plate of tacos or chips and guacamole.
