Christina Tosi, the owner of Momofuku Milk Bar, has recently purchased a penthouse at 139 West 19th Street with her boyfriend Will Guidara (a fellow food enthusiast that owns restaurant Eleven Madison Park).

While the apartment was originally listed at $3.895 million, it sold at a moderate discount of around $200K making the final dollar amount to be $3.7 million. The price per square foot comes in just over at $2,175 which is actually not too bad considering that this is a penthouse loft.
With over 1,700 square feet of living space and an attached terrace, which adds 1,400 square feet of outdoor living space, the penthouse is huge with an open kitchen, high ceilings, and oversized windows. Having any amount of outdoor space is a luxury in NY, but with 1,400 feet of it, this apartment provides so much versatility.

First built in 1909, this pre-war co-op has twenty-one units spread out over seven stories. The prewar building features a wood burning fireplaces and central air throughout the unit. The building is in a prime location for grocery stores, restaurants, and specialty shops for both Chelsea and Flatiron.
There aren’t any current open listings at 139 West, but there are similar listings available in Chelsea that are looking for new owners, still. Most apartments are two bed, two bath and are in the $3.6 million – $4.1 million dollar range.
