Thaddeus Young Leaves The Nets And His Brooklyn Condo

by | Aug 22, 2016

Former New Jersey Net, Thaddeus Young, was recently traded to the Indiana Pacers and is, therefore, selling his Brooklyn condo. Young just purchased the condo less than a year ago at $5.325 million, and he is now looking to unload his condo for nearly a million more than his original purchase price of $6.3 million. It will be interesting to see how the market responds to this listing given the million dollar price increase in such a short time.

Young’s apartment is not the only one available for sale in the building, though. There are currently seventeen active listings in the building (including Young’s), and five of those are already under contract.

The majority of the listings are modestly priced on the low end from $799K for a one bathroom studio, and $2.25 million for a two bed two bath unit.

However, there are two active listings for over $10 million that separate themselves from the rest of the pack. The first one is listed at $12.988 million, which features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and over 5,000 square feet of living space. The second listing is twice the size of the $12 million dollar listing. However, costing$23.888 million, it includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and over 8,300 square feet.

Despite the disparity of apartment types, these units all share breathtaking views of the marina, the harbor, and the New York City skyline. It will be hard to replicate that skyline in Indianapolis.

The building was built back in 1928 and is twelve stories high with over 430 residential units. Featuring a large assortment of amenities that residents can access, the building has a bike room, concierge, gym, a live-in-super, a children’s playroom, garage parking, and centrally located laundry areas. There is also an outdoor balcony and terrace that the residents can enjoy.
