Upset that living in the concrete jungle causes you to miss many of the springtime flowers in bloom? Never fear, Macy’s is here to save the day! Be sure to check out the annual Macy’s Flower Show, where the Herald Square shopping destination transforms into a massive floral orchard. This year, the store’s theme is “Once Upon a Springtime”, and we’re sure it’ll feature extravagant designs and displays fit for a fairytale. The show runs from March 25 through April 8 at the Herald Square Macy’s.

Many New Yorkers talk about the vast landscape that is Central Park, but few have the time to actually see it all. Take advantage of your week off and explore one of Manhattan’s most famous attractions, all while escaping to some of the only “nature” NYC has to offer.

Capture photos at Belvedere Castle that’ll make any fantasy fan green with envy or head down to Sheep’s Meadow to take advantage of the changing weather and people watch.

Get Back Into Biking

With the vast array of available Citi Bike stations all around the city, you have no excuse not to try out this fan favorite.

If biking on the busy NYC streets scares you, start out with something a little calmer, such as Central Park or McCarren Park in Brooklyn. This is the perfect way to enjoy a weekend afternoon with friends or change up your workout routine!

Be sure to round out your spring break with the Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. In addition to marvelling at the trees, Sakura Matsuri also offers numerous performances and events that celebrate Japanese culture. The festival runs over the April 28-29 weekend, and it’s been a staple of the NYC spring calendar for years.
