Tribeca Loft Within Range of Taylor Swift

by | Feb 9, 2017

Even as her downstairs’ neighbor, New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh never quite infiltrated a Taylor Swift supermodel sleepover. Now McDonagh, his wife, and their newborn are giving away a shot at #squad status to a new buyer at the Sugar Loaf Building in Tribeca.

McDonagh paid $5.2 million for the third-floor apartment at 155 Franklin Street in 2014. That same year, Swift paid a pretty $20 million to Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson for the building’s top two floors.

Though Swift is now living in a West Village carriage house, the building is no stranger to stardom: Orlando Bloom fled the building soon after Swift moved in to escape her paparazzi, and Sir Ian McKellen suffered an eviction from Jackson’s apartment when Jackson sold the unit to Swift

McDonagh just put his three-bedroom, two bathroom condo on the market for $5.75 million. The loft occupies 2,450 square feet and subtly boasts exposed red brick and timber-beamed ceilings.

Warmed by excellent natural light, the new kitchen area features a six-seat breakfast bar, Calacatta gold marble, and custom white cabinetry. The master bedroom comes with its own en-suite bath, complete with a double vanity and soaking tub.

You’ll have to stick around to meet Taylor in the lobby but move swiftly to save your spot in line.
