Situated at 235 Middle Neck Road in Sands Point, New York, this home was purchased by Mary Harriman Rumsey in 1923.

Rumsey and Fitzgerald were friends, and he spent vast amounts of time at the estate, later using it as an inspiration for his famous novel. The mansion’s website states that it is well considered that Fitzgerald saw the estate as “Gatsby’s East Egg.”
